If your hatch rattles, open it up and locate the two black rubber
bushings adjacent to the tail-lights. They look like bottle-stoppers with a slot on top.
Take a large screw-driver and "unscrew" each bushing about a
quarter-turn, moving them out, which in turn moves the closed tailgate
AWAY from the car by a like amount.

A quick test drive between minor adjustments (to check your progress)
and soon your hatch will be solid as a rock. It's a relatively minor
adjustment, but I'd bet the factory just screws them in "too far"
resulting in 99% of M-Classes rattling. This fix works.

On another topic...I want fog lights that will fit into the lowest holes
in the front bumper. Anyone know of such an item?

Many thanks...JOHN in L.A.
