Mercedes-Benz ML230

The European version of the popular Mercedes-Benz M-Class features some distinct differences which set it apart fom the US version.

The Mercedes-Benz M-Class will be offered in Europe also as ML320 and ML430 and in addition as ML230.

The ML230 is powered by a 2.3 liter, 16 valve inline 4 cylinder engine with 150 HP. If you ever drove the exciting ML320 V6 - the ML230 I4 will not impress you at all. Even when you give the 5-speed manual really good workout, the ML230 seems gutless.

It's skinny 225/75R16 tires are good for low fuel consumption, but look somewhat out of place. Since automobiles in Europe are taxed according to engine displacement and emissions status, Mercedes-Benz had to offer a small 2.4 liter M-Class to make it affordable for a wider range of customers. The ML230 will not be available in the US.
