First year's ML320 had a few fit and finish problems and pretty much all owners experienced difficulties with the keyless entry and alarm system.
All these problems have been taken care of and as of this moment (September 2000) there have been no widespread problems reported to me.

Please give your MB dealer the first chance of fixing any problem you might encounter.
If you are not satisfied with the way your dealer handles the problem you should request to present your complaints to the local MB rep.
Consider complaining directly to 1-800-FOR-MERCedes if you are not happy about the dealer treatment.
I personally recommend, to also let MBUSI know about your experiences. Your complaint will land directly on the desk of one of the engineers at the factory.
