What is backspace ?

Wheels (rims) with different backspacing
are used to make sure that the wheels are always flush with the outline
of the M-Class body no matter what tire sizes or possible fender flares
are used.
Less backspace means
that the tire/wheel combo sticks out further.
More backspace means
that the tire/wheel combo stays in more.
