Directions to Independence (Mazourka Canyon Road) Plan is to meet Friday morning 8 AM at the am at the intersection of Hwy 395 and Mazourka Canyon Road outside of Independence. N 36 47.832 W118 11.781 Driving time from the Los Angeles area is about 3.5 to 4 hours. Please be there on time. If you come from far away, I recommed you drive up on Thursday and spend the night in a motel in Lone Pine. Independence has no hotels.
