All 463 series Geländewagen from 1991 to 1995, including the G 320 offered an ABS "off" switch - the only vehicle world wide to do so.
The off position creates much shorter stopping distances when off-road. With ABS "off" tires will lock up - but off-road this can be desirable. Locked up skidding wheels build up little berms in front of each tire which very effectively slows down the vehicle. With ABS "on" stopping distances will be unsafely long on lose ground (like gravel). Here is more.
